Banana and Oat Pea Protein Shake
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
1 scoop, about 30 g Pea protein powder
15 g Gluten-free oats (Dry weight. Certified, which is the only thing that separates them from ordinary oats in the numbers.)
60 g (about half) Banana (Peeled weight. A medium banana is about 100 g without the skin.)
250 ml Unsweetened soya milk
A pinch Ground cinnamon
A handful Ice

METHOD
1. Put the soya milk in the blender with the oats and leave them for two minutes to soften. It saves the grittiness.
2. Add the banana, pea protein, cinnamon and ice and blend for forty seconds until smooth.
3. Drink within a few minutes. The oats keep thickening as they sit.

Contains soya.

RECIPE NOTES
Soya milk is the plant milk with a protein figure close to dairy. Oat milk or almond milk in its place drops the protein a fair way.
A whole banana rather than half adds a good deal of carbohydrate and makes a shake that eats more like a meal.
