Biltong, Apple and Cheddar Plate
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
30 g Biltong
1 medium, about 160 g Apple
20 g Cheddar

METHOD
1. Core the apple and cut it into eighths, skin on.
2. Cut the cheddar into thin shards with a peeler rather than into cubes, so 20 g covers more of the plate.
3. Arrange the three together and eat them in turns. A wedge of apple with a shard of cheese and a piece of biltong is the point.

Contains milk.
Some biltong is cured with Worcestershire sauce, which carries fish and gluten. Check the packet.

RECIPE NOTES
Biltong is about 50 g of protein per 100 g, so 30 g does the work of a sliced chicken breast here. Read the pack: some are sugared and run to 10 g of carbohydrate per 100 g.
Cheddar is the dense part of the plate. 20 g is 82 kcal, and it is easy to cut 40 without meaning to.
