INGREDIENTS
40 g Rolled oats (Dry weight.)
250 ml Oat milk
2 tsp (6 g) Cocoa powder
1 scoop, about 30 g Pea protein powder (Off the heat, with a splash more milk. It is thirstier than whey.)
80 g, sliced Banana (Peeled weight. A medium banana is about 100 g without the skin.)
1 square, about 5 g Dark chocolate, 85%
A pinch Salt

METHOD
1. Whisk the cocoa into the cold oat milk in the pan until there are no lumps, then add the oats and the salt.
2. Bring to a simmer and cook for five minutes, stirring, until thick.
3. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the pea protein with a splash more milk until it is smooth.
4. Top with the banana and grate the chocolate over with a fine grater.

Contains gluten cereals and soya.
Oats count as a gluten cereal under UK labelling and ordinary oats are milled alongside wheat. Certified gluten-free oats are a separate ingredient here.
Oat drinks count as a gluten cereal under UK labelling unless made from certified gluten-free oats.
Flagged for the soya lecithin most bars use. Most also say they may contain milk and nuts.

RECIPE NOTES
Pea protein will turn the pan to cement if it goes in over the heat. Off the heat, with an extra splash of milk, it stirs in fine.
Oat milk is 43 kcal per 100 ml against 13 for unsweetened almond. Swapping to almond takes about 75 kcal off this bowl and adds a nut flag.
