Dark Chocolate with Toasted Almonds
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
4 squares, about 20 g Dark chocolate, 85%
20 g (about 16) Almonds
A few flakes Salt

METHOD
1. Toast the almonds in a dry frying pan over a medium heat for four to five minutes, shaking the pan often, until they smell nutty and the skins darken.
2. Tip them onto a plate with a few flakes of salt and leave to cool for a couple of minutes; they crisp as they cool.
3. Break the chocolate into squares and eat the two together, a square with a couple of almonds. Warm almonds and cold chocolate is the point.

Contains tree nuts and soya.
Flagged for the soya lecithin most bars use. Most also say they may contain milk and nuts.

RECIPE NOTES
Twenty grams of almonds is about sixteen and is weighed, not guessed. A hand dipped into the bag comes out with nearer forty.
Chocolate and almonds are both mostly fat, so this is a snack where nearly all the calories are fat and it is eaten slowly for it.
