Dark Chocolate, Walnuts and Pear
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
1 medium, about 170 g Pear (Ripe. A hard pear and dark chocolate is a dull plate; a ripe one makes it.)
3 squares, about 15 g Dark chocolate, 85%
15 g (about 6 halves) Walnuts
A few flakes Salt

METHOD
1. Quarter and core the pear and cut each quarter into two or three slices.
2. Toast the walnuts in a dry pan for three minutes over a medium heat, until they smell roasted, and salt them lightly.
3. Break the chocolate into squares and arrange the three things on a plate. Eat a slice of pear with a piece of chocolate and a walnut together.

Contains tree nuts and soya.
Flagged for the soya lecithin most bars use. Most also say they may contain milk and nuts.

RECIPE NOTES
The pear is a third of the calories and nearly all the carbohydrate. The walnuts and chocolate share the fat between them.
Toasting the walnuts is a small step that matters. Raw walnuts are tannic and bitter next to chocolate; toasted ones are not.
