Frozen Banana Bites with Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
1 medium, about 100 g Banana (Peeled weight. A medium banana is about 100 g without the skin.)
10 g Peanut butter (The kind that is peanuts and salt. Sweetened spreads carry more carbohydrate.)
2 squares, about 10 g Dark chocolate, 85% (Two squares is 10 g and only just enough to dip. Four squares doubles the chocolate and adds 60 kcal.)
A few flakes Salt

METHOD
1. Slice the banana into coins about a centimetre thick. Spread half of them with a thin smear of peanut butter and press the other half on top to make small sandwiches.
2. Melt the chocolate in a small bowl over a pan of barely simmering water, or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring between them.
3. Dip the top of each sandwich into the chocolate, set them on a plate lined with baking paper, add a flake or two of salt and freeze for at least two hours.

Contains peanuts and soya.
Flagged for the soya lecithin most bars use. Most also say they may contain milk and nuts.

RECIPE NOTES
A slightly underripe banana holds its shape better once frozen. A spotty one turns to mush when it thaws on the plate.
The whole batch is one serving here. The bites keep a week in a box in the freezer if you want to make two bananas' worth and count half.
