Iced Mocha Whey Shake with Oat Milk
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
1 scoop, about 30 g Whey protein isolate (Values for an unflavoured or lightly flavoured isolate. A concentrate or a blend carries more fat and carbohydrate at the same scoop.)
1 shot, about 30 g Espresso
2 tsp, about 6 g Cocoa powder
200 ml Oat milk
A large handful Ice
A tiny pinch Salt

METHOD
1. Stir the cocoa into the hot espresso until it dissolves, then leave to cool for a few minutes.
2. Pour the oat milk into the blender, add the coffee mixture, whey, salt and ice.
3. Blend for twenty seconds and pour. It will be frothy; that is the oat milk.

Contains gluten cereals and milk.
Most whey powders contain soya lecithin, which counts as soya. Check the tub.
Oat drinks count as a gluten cereal under UK labelling unless made from certified gluten-free oats.

RECIPE NOTES
Oat milk carries the most carbohydrate of the plant milks and is the reason this tastes sweet with nothing added. Soya milk in its place is lower and has more protein.
Cocoa dissolved in the hot coffee first is the difference between a mocha and a coffee with brown specks in it.
