Banana and Cocoa Kefir Shake
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
200 ml Kefir
1 medium, about 100 g Banana (Peel it, break it into chunks and freeze it the night before. A frozen banana is what makes this thick. Peeled weight. A medium banana is about 100 g without the skin.)
2 tsp, about 6 g Cocoa powder
A pinch Ground cinnamon

METHOD
1. Put the frozen banana chunks in the blender with the cocoa and cinnamon.
2. Pour in half the kefir and blend until the banana breaks down, then add the rest and blend again until smooth. Adding all the liquid at once leaves banana lumps at the bottom.
3. Pour into a glass and drink it straight away, while it is still thick and cold.

Contains milk.

RECIPE NOTES
Keep a bag of peeled banana chunks in the freezer and this is a two-minute job. Bananas that have gone spotty are the ones to freeze; they are sweeter and nobody was going to eat them.
A scoop of whey turns this into a proper protein shake for another 112 kcal.
