Marmite Butter Popcorn
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
30 g Popcorn kernels (Dry weight, before popping. Popped in a pan with no oil.)
8 g Butter
1 tsp, about 6 g Marmite
A few grinds Black pepper

METHOD
1. Put the kernels in a heavy lidded pan over medium heat with no oil. Cover and shake the pan constantly until the popping slows to a stop, about three to four minutes.
2. Melt the butter in a small pan and stir the Marmite into it until it dissolves into a dark sauce.
3. Tip the popcorn into a bowl, pour the sauce over in a thin stream while tossing, and grind pepper over.

Contains gluten cereals and milk.
Yeast extract from brewing carries barley. The maker says it is not suitable for coeliacs.

RECIPE NOTES
Popped dry, which works in a heavy pan as long as the lid stays on and the pan keeps moving. A few kernels will not pop; that is normal.
No salt is added. The Marmite is salty enough for 30 g of kernels, and a second teaspoon is too much for most people.
