Tahini and Date Balls Rolled in Sesame
Makes 6 servings

INGREDIENTS
7 dates, about 140 g Medjool dates (Stoned weight.)
2 tbsp (30 g) Tahini (Stir the jar well first. The oil on top and the paste underneath are not the same food.)
50 g Gluten-free oats (Dry weight. Certified, which is the only thing that separates them from ordinary oats in the numbers.)
10 g Sesame seeds
A pinch Salt

METHOD
1. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over a medium heat for two to three minutes, shaking, until they smell nutty. Tip onto a plate.
2. Pit the dates and blitz them to a paste, then add the tahini, oats and salt and pulse until the mix holds together when pressed.
3. Roll into six balls, roll each one through the sesame seeds and chill for half an hour.

Contains sesame.

RECIPE NOTES
Tahini is a sesame seed paste. There are no nuts in this ball, but sesame is its own allergen and is flagged as such.
Ordinary oats make an identical ball. The gluten-free oats are there for anyone who needs them and change nothing else.
