Turmeric Whey Porridge with Mango and Cashews
Makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS
50 g Rolled oats (Dry weight.)
250 ml Coconut milk drink (The carton kind, at 33 kcal per 100 ml. Tinned coconut milk is five times that. The carton drink at 33 kcal per 100 ml, not tinned coconut milk. Tinned is roughly five times the calories.)
Half a teaspoon Ground turmeric
A thumb, grated Fresh ginger
1 scoop, about 30 g Whey protein isolate (Values for an unflavoured or lightly flavoured isolate. A concentrate or a blend carries more fat and carbohydrate at the same scoop.)
120 g, diced Mango (Flesh only.)
12 g Cashews
A pinch Salt

METHOD
1. Toast the cashews in a dry pan for two minutes until they colour, then tip them out.
2. In the same pan simmer the oats in the coconut drink with the turmeric, ginger and salt for five minutes, stirring.
3. Off the heat, stir in the whey with a splash of water until smooth.
4. Top with the mango and the cashews.

Contains gluten cereals, milk and tree nuts.
Oats count as a gluten cereal under UK labelling and ordinary oats are milled alongside wheat. Certified gluten-free oats are a separate ingredient here.
Most whey powders contain soya lecithin, which counts as soya. Check the tub.

RECIPE NOTES
Check the carton says drink. Coconut milk drink is 33 kcal per 100 ml; the tinned kind is 170 and would make this a very different number.
Turmeric stains wooden spoons and worktops, so wipe as you go.
