Ingredients
- Pea protein powder1 scoop, about 30 g
- Espresso2 shots, about 60 g
Cooled for a few minutes.
- Banana60 g (about half)
Frozen in chunks if you plan ahead. It replaces most of the ice. Peeled weight. A medium banana is about 100 g without the skin.
- Unsweetened soya milk200 ml
- IceA handful
Method
Pull the espresso and let it cool while you break the banana into the blender.
Add the soya milk, coffee, pea protein and ice and blend for forty seconds until the banana has vanished.
Drink at once. The pea protein settles if it stands.
Worth knowing
- The banana is what makes pea protein and coffee work together; without it the pairing is thin and earthy.
- Soya milk is the plant milk that adds protein of its own here. Oat milk would add carbohydrate instead.
