Allergens

- Milk
- Oats count as a gluten cereal under UK labelling and ordinary oats are milled alongside wheat. Certified gluten-free oats are a separate ingredient here.

Ingredients
- Rolled oats40 g
Dry weight.
- Water220 ml
- Ground flaxseed8 g
- Greek yogurt, 0% fat100 g
- Jam2 tsp (14 g)
- SaltA pinch
Method
Stir the oats, flaxseed, salt and water together in a large bowl.
Microwave at 800 W for two minutes, stir, then one minute more, and let it stand for a minute.
Spoon the yogurt over the hot oats and swirl the jam into the yogurt.
Worth knowing
- Two teaspoons of jam is 14 g and about 35 kcal. Swirled into cold yogurt on hot oats it tastes like more than that.
- Ground flaxseed cooked in with the oats thickens them, so this takes a little more water than a plain bowl.
