Ingredients
- Nori sheets4 sheets, about 12 g
- Toasted sesame oil1 tsp, about 4 g
- Sesame seeds1 tsp (5 g)
- SaltA pinch
Method
Heat the oven to 160°C. Brush one side of each sheet very thinly with the sesame oil using a pastry brush, then salt and scatter the seeds.
Cut each sheet into six rectangles with scissors and lay them in a single layer on a tray.
Bake for four to five minutes, until crisp and a shade darker. Stand by the oven; nori burns in seconds.
Cool on the tray for two minutes before eating.
Worth knowing
- Four sheets is 12 g and makes 24 crisps for 107 kcal, and the oil and seeds are more than half of that. They keep a day in an airtight tub before softening.
- One teaspoon of oil across four sheets sounds too little. It is exactly enough; more and they go chewy rather than crisp.
