Ingredients
- Walnuts15 g
- Pecans10 g
- Honey1 tsp, about 7 g
- Ground cinnamonA pinch
- SaltA pinch
Method
Toast the nuts in a dry pan over medium heat for about three minutes, until they smell toasted and the pecans darken slightly.
Drizzle the honey over, add the cinnamon and salt, and stir for thirty seconds until the honey bubbles and coats every nut.
Tip onto a sheet of baking paper, separate the nuts with a fork and leave for ten minutes. They go brittle as they cool.
Worth knowing
- The honey is 22 kcal of the 195. The nuts are the rest, so this is 25 g of them and not a bowl.
- Take the pan off before the honey darkens. It goes from glossy to burnt in about twenty seconds.
