Ingredients
- Cashews15 g
- Pumpkin seeds10 g
- Tamari1 tsp (5 g)
- Chilli flakesA pinch
Method
Toast the cashews in a dry pan over medium heat for two minutes, then add the pumpkin seeds and cook for another minute or two until the seeds puff and the cashews are pale gold.
Take the pan off the heat, add the tamari and stir. It hisses and dries onto the nuts almost at once.
Add the chilli flakes, spread everything on a plate and leave for five minutes to crisp up.
Worth knowing
- Tamari rather than soy sauce, so the flag is soya alone and not gluten as well. The taste is the same.
- Adding the tamari off the heat matters. On the heat it burns onto the pan rather than the nuts.
