Ingredients
- Peanuts, roasted unsalted25 g
About 35 peanuts.
- Lime juice1 tsp
- Chilli powderA pinch
- SaltA pinch
Method
Toast the peanuts in a dry pan over medium heat for three minutes, shaking often, until they darken a shade and smell roasted.
Take the pan off the heat and add the lime juice. It spits and steams and then it is gone.
Add the chilli powder and salt while the nuts are still wet so it sticks, then spread them on a plate for five minutes to dry and crisp.
Worth knowing
- The lime and chilli make the same 25 g last longer, because each nut tastes of more. That is the whole trick with weighed nuts.
- Unsalted peanuts, salted here. The salted packets are the same calories, but you cannot then control the salt.
