Ingredients
- Clementine2 clementines, about 120 g
Peeled weight.
- Dark chocolate, 85%2 squares, about 10 g
- Almonds12 g
About ten almonds. Nuts are the part of this plate that runs away with the calories if poured rather than counted.
- SaltA few flakes
Method
Peel the clementines and pull them into segments, taking off the loose white pith.
Break the chocolate into its two squares and then snap each square in half so there are four pieces to go round.
Arrange the segments, chocolate and almonds on a small plate with a few flakes of salt on the chocolate. Eat a segment, a nut and a piece of chocolate together; that is the recipe.
Worth knowing
- Dark chocolate at 85% is 30 kcal a square and bitter enough that two squares are satisfying rather than a start. A 70% bar is sweeter and most people eat more of it.
- Clementines are 24 kcal each. The fruit is not where this plate's calories are.
