Ingredients
- Greek yogurt, 5% fat170 g
- Fresh figs2 figs, about 100 g
- Pistachios, shelled15 g
Shelled weight. In the shell, about half is shell.
- Honey1 tsp (7 g)
Method
Tear the figs into quarters from the stalk end rather than slicing them, so the flesh stays rough and takes the honey.
Chop the pistachios roughly with a knife. A bag of pre-chopped ones is fine but tends to be stale.
Spoon the yogurt into a bowl, lay the figs on top, scatter the pistachios and drizzle the honey over last.
Worth knowing
- The 5% yogurt is about 70 kcal more than 0% at this weight and eats like a dessert. With figs this ripe it is worth it, and the 0% version is still there if the numbers matter more that day.
- Fifteen grams of pistachios is about 25 kernels. It sounds mean and is enough for crunch in every spoonful.
