Ingredients
- Oat milk200 ml
- Pea protein powder1 scoop, about 30 g
- Pear1 medium, about 170 g
- Spinach40 g
- Avocado30 g
Weighed without skin or stone. It is what makes the smoothie creamy, and 30 g is 57 kcal. Flesh only. Half a medium avocado is about 70 g.
- Lime juiceJuice of half a lime
- Fresh gingerA small piece, peeled
- IceA handful
Method
Core the pear and cut it into chunks, skin on.
Blend the oat milk, spinach and ginger first until the leaves are gone. Spinach blended last leaves flecks.
Add the pear, avocado, pea protein and lime and blend until smooth, then the ice for a final ten seconds.
Worth knowing
- Spinach in a smoothie tastes of nothing and turns it green. Forty grams is a large handful and is 9 kcal.
- Pea protein carries no allergen flag, the oat milk carries gluten, and nothing in the glass is a nut or a dairy product.
