Ingredients
- Cottage cheese150 g
- Strawberries150 g
Frozen works and makes it colder and thicker. Fresh in June tastes better.
- Skimmed milk150 ml
- Vanilla extractA few drops
- Granulated sweetenerTo taste
- IceA handful
Method
Blend the cottage cheese and milk on their own first for twenty seconds. The curds disappear completely and it turns into a thin cream.
Add the strawberries, vanilla and sweetener and blend for another twenty seconds.
Taste. Strawberries vary a lot in sweetness and the cottage cheese is salty, so it may want a little more sweetener than you expect.
Worth knowing
- Cottage cheese blended is smoother than yogurt and has more protein per calorie than any drinking yogurt. Nobody tasting this would guess what is in it.
- Skimmed milk at 35 kcal per 100 ml keeps the whole glass light. Whole milk adds about 45 kcal and a rounder taste.
