Flags follow UK labelling rules and come from the ingredients as listed, not from any particular brand. Check the packet before cooking for somebody with an allergy.

Method

  1. Stir the vanilla into the yogurt. Peel the banana, split it lengthways and lay the two halves in a shallow bowl cut side up, pushed apart.

  2. Spoon the yogurt down the gap between the halves in a thick line.

  3. Chop the peanuts roughly and scatter them over, grate the chocolate on top with a fine grater and finish with a few flakes of salt.

Worth knowing

  • The traditional version has three scoops of ice cream and a sauce. The yogurt does the cold and creamy part for a fraction of the calories and brings 15 g of protein along.
  • Chocolate grated rather than chopped, and salted peanuts if you have them. Both make 5 g of chocolate and 8 g of nut taste like more.
